We at SlinkARK follow the official Studio Wildcard Code of Conduct for Ark: Survival Evolved. Any breach of their rules or ours will result in a ban.
No cheating: This includes hacks, exploits, map glitches or bots (macros are okay).
Accounts: Only one discord/game account per user. No offensive names. Players cannot “impersonate” other tribes or players, if there is confusion its up to the player to publicly correct the problem in game chat.
Chat/Cluster Chat
Please keep communication in global chat clean as all can be seen! This will be enforced.
When using global/ cluster chat please speak English so all can be included in the conversation. By all means in Tribe and Local speak whatever you wish however!
Please don’t spam! We love conversation as it encourages a healthy community but please don’t over do it! Just be mindful of others and have a little respect.
Tribe Names
You shall not change your tribe name more than once within a 30 day period.
Your tribe name cannot be offensive, contain advertising or include swear/vulgar words, this is a game (with kids who play) and those who don’t take it seriously should go elsewhere,
If you are unsure on the classification of your tribe name, contact the Admins.
Item Restoration / Dino Restoration
We at SlinkARK do not restore any lost items and/or dinosaurs.
We understand how frustrating being “Arked” can be, but unfortunately we cannot provide any item or dino restoration.
This also falls under the Mercy Rule (which can be found below).
Dino Wipe
Dino Wipes occur at 0300hrs (AEST) sharp along with server restart.
Bullying and Toxic Players
Players caught bullying or deemed toxic will be instantly banned from all SlinkARK services! We have a ZERO tolerance policy on this kind of behavior!
Player Names
Generic/default player names such as Human, Survivor, 123 etc are not permitted.
Your player name cannot be something with derogatory terms, swear words. This indicates you don’t take this game seriously and are just here to troll, and if the admin feels the name is offensive it will be changed.
Please use English characters in your name. If you do not, you will be renamed without warning.
Players shall not advertise using their player name or tribe name; this includes YouTube or Twitch addresses.
Tribes
There is a limit of 10 players to a tribe. However there is a few things we would ask:
Build your bases all together in 1 compound, and must act as one unit rather than independently, e.g 1 tribe leader telling the other tribe what to do.
Base/Structure/Dino Limits
You are permitted one primary base of operation on each server. Please keep base sizes reasonable to prevent performance issues.
Players/tribes are only allowed a maximum of 10 Gacha and 50 Crop Plots.
Griefing on PvE Servers
Do not lure/move creatures to others bases with the intention of causing damage. There will be no warning about this! Expect an instant ban from all SlinkARK server if you do so!
Do not move other players (including offline) and their dinos! This includes the use of Tek Skiffs!
Volcano/Mountain: (TheIsland Map)
Volcano at 42 (lat) / 39 (long) crater is off-limits for building.
You can build anything on the sides.
Dinos cannot be left alone at the volcano crater for no longer than an hour, if you need to use a lot of dinos use the Transporter.
Obelisk/Caves/Terminals/Bridges/Mission Start Pads/Fjordur Mini-Bosses
Building on obelisks or their respective craters is not allowed.
Building in caves (land or underwater) are permitted so long as they do not prevent access to any unique resources such as artifacts or drops (caves without unique resources can be used).
No building around Terminals (Extinction) or structures (walls, turrets) to prevent players from accessing terminals
No building in or blocking Bridges or Mission Start Pads on Genesis Part 2.
Players are not allowed to build on or near Fjordur mini-bosses (Beyla 04.7 – 47.2, Steinbjorn 77.6 – 30.8, Hati and Skoll 20.5 – 37.3) or leave any of their tames in the vicinity.
Foundation Spamming
Placing foundations/pillars to claim land or to block mass amount of resource spawns is also disallowed and may result in your structure being removed or entire tribe’s structures wiped (if excessive).
Abandoned Structures
Structures that are abandoned or made demolish-able will be auto-demolished by the server (auto decay).
4 day – Thatch/Greenhouse
8 days – Wood/Adobe
12 days – Stone
16 days – Metal/Glass
35 days – Tek
Some S+ (Structures Plus) Tek may have longer decay timers than the above too as it does not follow the same timers as the OC.
Once the server has decayed a base we are unable to restore it!
Mercy Rule
SlinkARK Admins (like all unofficial ARK servers) are at the mercy of mod developers and even more so Wildcard (Ark’s Game Developer). We provide a free service and have absolutely no control over the source code or functionality of the game or any of its mods.
As such, should something be broken, from a update/patch or other means outside of our control we reserve the right to handle that as we see fit. That may mean a complete and/ or immediate server shutdown to mitigate damage, rollbacks or no action at all (depends on the circumstances).
As Wildcard have proven time-and-time again they release broken content, we will try to mitigate it to best of our best capabilities. We will not accept responsibility when it comes to SlinkARK players incorrectly passing blame at us – the hosts, please understand this is also very infuriating for us as hosts as well! This regularly leads to a lot of work for us too (in the backend)!
We understand downtime, potential items/structures not working as intended and general Ark related issues can be frustrating but please understand we are not your enemy and did not introduce these issues so please don’t take it out on us.
We work hard to provide you with this service and even harder when it comes to fixing/mitigating bugs/ issues (which happens more than you can expect – it’s Ark after all). Anyone that does not respect the Mercy Rule will be warned once, we don’t deserve harsh and unjust complaints especially when it’s beyond our control.
Passive Dinos
You may not pick up any other tribes dinos and place them in a position to be killed.
You may not drop wild dinos into a tribe’s base.
Dino Decay
Dinos will decay if you are offline for 7 days.
Cleaning Up
Due to structure protection; you must clean up after yourself, e.g removing spikes and taming pens no longer in use, this prevents others from using the land as they cannot remove the items themselves.
This includes leaving tames scattered around the map for farming or other purposes, as this can disadvantage other players.
Personal Information
Do NOT post or direct users to private information about other players, this information and peoples personal lives should not be involved in a video game, anyone found posting such information will be permanently banned from all servers.
Advertising
Players shall not advertise other servers, YouTube or Twitch addresses in game, if you need to share a Discord link that is fine as long as its related to general chat requests… advertising will result in an immediate ban.
Final Word
We the admins have final say in ALL matters.
Even if something is not explicitly covered under the rules, if it is detrimental to the community, actions may be taken outside of the rules to remediate the issue.
